Having Fun Experimenting

Hello! there, It's Tuesday!

I made this card last night while my kids were having fun making Easter Crafts with foam shaped eggs and Easter theme stickers. I made this card to play along in the Embellish Crochet Trim Color Trends Challenge. I need to make Easter cards for for my kids, nieces and nephews so that is the route I went when making this card with their beautiful color combination.

I found this little chick at the $1.00 bin basket last week at Michael's. Isn't it so cute. For this challenge I crocheted my own little trim once again for lack of not really loving the crochet trims at my local craft store. I will cross my fingers and hope I win the prize and get some cute crochet trim from May Arts.

I hope that you had as good of a weekend as I did. The two highlights of my weekend, were spending time with my family at the beach. We enjoyed every bit of our time there.

 and making doughnuts. I have had this recipe from Joy the Baker for over a year now and this weekend I  finally felt like I had the time to try it. The doughnuts, They were delicious!!!!  It was getting late and the house was not getting the light I needed to photograph our leftover doughnuts so, I went outside. I love the way the background turned out. The coloring is beautiful don't you think?

Because I loved that so much I decided to try it again this morning but I guess since the position on the sun was not the same as my previous time. I didn't get the same effect from the background but I love the faded effect I  got from the sun's gleam.
