This card was inspired by these lanterns below that i made for my kiddos. Why? you ask, well I had to do something with the leftovers from the pumpkin. I incorporated the colors for the
Color Q Challenge # 107 and tada! that is how this card was born. Hope you like it. I had fun using some things that I have not used much lately like my Cuttlebug folders, bakers twine and buttons.
Now back to the lanterns, this was my daughter's idea. Right before bed she comes up with crafty ideas. She gets upset that once again is time for bed and she must wait until morning comes. she wanted to make something spooky for her room with a light. The idea of a lantern came to mind. We headed to pinterest for ideas and found
this last night. Morning came and the first Evie asked me was "can we start making the lanterns?" After all the morning things got taken care of, even school because I home school our kiddos. We made the lanterns. I found the instructions in the link very helpful. We used pickle jars, one sheet of vellum paper and black cardstock. It's day time but we tried the lanterns in a darken room and we love them. Evie had picked a spider for her lantern and Ethan the pumpkin he loves how the eyes, nose and mouth glows with the candle and Evie of course loves her spooky spider lantern. Thanks for stopping by.
